Just to let you know what kind of club we are, our membership ranges from newly minted graduates to people in their 80’s. The range of occupations and interests covers the whole gamut too. All of us Buckeyes to the core! Over the years our club has received many awards. We are a sixteen time Outstanding Alumni Club and a five time Gold Star Alumni Club. Many of our members have received individual awards as well. Our club is in the Rightmire Society of the Presidents Club. Check out our awards page for the full list!
Game watches aren’t the only thing we do. We have a wine tasting event, a golf outing, a tailgate party at one of the early home games, football ticket auctions and raffles. We also have an annual blood drive battle against the Michigan club which is capped off with a luncheon the week before the big game. Our Young Bucks group has been very active as well with Happy Hours, Kickball, Softball and other events geared toward the younger element of the local Buckeye community! Check out our upcoming events here.
Our events are a lot of fun. They get us together with other Alumni, bring in new members, and get the word out about our club as well as the Alumni Association. They also supplement our scholarship funds. In 2014 we were able to award six scholarships – four to current Juniors and Seniors and two to incoming Freshmen.
Even though we’re growing, we’re always looking for new people, new ideas and new energy! If you would like to join our board and contribute your ideas, time and talents, come on down! The more the better! See our Board page for the meeting schedule and our board member profiles.
If you don’t want to join the board, you can still be a great help to our club simply by letting other Alumni and Buckeye fans know about us. Just direct them to our website at cincinnati.alumni.osu.edu! In addition, if you know of people or businesses that would like to help our club with donations to our Scholarship fund, contributions of raffle prizes, discount services to our members, locations for events, etc, please let us know so we can contact them.
